Explore common questions about launching private equity funds with Impact Pockets. We provide answers to help you understand how our incubation model works.
Impact Pockets is a fund incubation platform that helps experienced operators and professionals turn their expertise into scalable private equity funds. We provide end-to-end support to proven professionals that ranges from fund design and structure to investor outreach and operations.
We work exclusively with professionals who have a proven track record in operating businesses or managing investments. If you have done over one billion dollars worth of business in your industry, have deep industry knowledge, and executive level leadership experience, you're likely a good fit.
Our process includes multiple stages: initial discovery and interviews, deep strategic analysis, custom proforma design, investor testing, and finally, formal fund launch. We co-own the fund and invest our time and network into its success.
We are sector-agnostic but prioritize opportunities in industries where our partners have deep expertise—such as real estate, defense, media, and technology. The key factor is the founder's operational excellence and market insight.
We align incentives by becoming part of the General Partnership (GP). We only succeed when you do, taking carried interest and fees based on fund performance. Some services like technology builds or executive placement may incur additional fees.
We are headquartered in Beachwood, Ohio, but work with fund managers across the United States and globally. Ohio offers a favorable legal and cost structure for fund formation, similar to Delaware.
